Thus all things move,
I tour you,
like diamonds sparkle.
Hold me not,
nor vision me -
for the night is young.
And grips are fake,
lacking the 4 winds of loss, grip, tender, and swarming.
My heart is ere, and not.
Fame not me to impression,
and go beyond the machine
to gothic heart, and owl eyes.
meaning of poem part 1
Of the 4 winds.- Winds tends to signify a coming of things, but not in a controlled way. It is more about things that just happen in an uncontrolled way. Loss, and grip concerns possesso(a latin play on the word); tender and swarming concerns the intensity of the wind, as from warm breezes to gust.
meaning of poem part 2
There is much nothingness ere, as a diamond does nothing, but shines. So I do nothing, but shine: the painting uses cubism, which is also more about shape (its shine) than effect as with watercolour painting.
‘Hold me not’
For I cannot be held, only sensed. For if something cannot be grasped, it is free from attachment.
meaning of poem part 3
‘the night is young’
It is interesting that the night is always young, as it appears to become more youthful deeper in the night, but the day seems to start middle aged, and become older!
It is about the blueness of the morning, in contrast to the redness of the evening, more to do with subtle colour changes of the day, whereas the night no such thing. But in this way, one can tell if the sun is rising or falling in a picture. The morning is the Blues.
meaning of poem part 4
A gothic heart does not fear death, like a machine. Owl eyes that dare to look at the darkness, and even converse with it by finding an opening to it in a non biased way.
